Snickerdoodle Cookies

One from Grandma’s Recipe Box…

Mix together:
1 cup shortening
1.5 cup sugar
2 eggs

Sift together and stir in:
2.75 cups flour
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt

Optional: 1 tsp. lemon or orange juice

Roll in small balls and then roll in a sugar/cinnamon mixture before placing on cookie sheet.
Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes.
