Read the Bible in 90 Days

Last year, I participated in reading the Bible in 90 Days with Mom’s Toolbox.  You can read about my experience HERE.  I was so blessed by this experience that when I read that Mom’s Toolbox was hosting another 90 days, I not only jumped on board, I volunteered to be a mentor.  While I do believe there is a time and place for in-depth study of scriptures, I definitely see the benefits of just reading the Bible straight through in such an intense manner.  It helps you get such a great picture of God’s overall plan and how everything connects and works together.  It makes your other Bible studies “click” because the scriptures in discussion and all the ones connected to it are so fresh in your mind.  Sitting through a sermon, you say things in your head like “I just read that.”

I’m not going to lie – it’s a LOT of reading, and it’s a big time commitment.  Even being a relatively fast reader, it would take me an average of 30-45 minutes to read the assigned passages every day.  So, yes, it’s a commitment, but I believe it’s so worth it!  If you have never read the Bible straight through before, I challenge you to prayerfully consider joining me on August 20th, as we begin the reading schedule.  Sure, you could download the schedule and do it yourself.  And that would be a great thing to do — but I have found that having a group of accountability partners really helps you stay on track.

Will you join us?  Take a moment to head over to Mom’s Toolbox and sign up!  If you’d like to be on my reading team, there is a place in the signup to request me as your mentor.  If you do let me know!  I’m excited to be involved in this ministry.  Please consider joining me!
