Project 333 ~ My list

I thought I’d update you on how my Project 333 was going.  I went through all my clothes and kept only the things I really loved hanging in my closet.  I boxed up the “maybes” and put a few more clothes in my donation bin. I got my clothing items down to 29 plus 4 pairs of shoes.

Here’s the thing.

In the “real” project 333, she includes Accessories as part of her 33 items.  As in sunglasses, purse, earrings, scarves, etc.  So, with my 29 items plus shoes, I would have no accessory allotment.  Sooooo….

I decided I’m the boss of my project.  I don’t have an accessory problem.  I honestly have one pair of earrings and one bracelet that I pull out on Sundays or when we go out to dinner.  I wear sunglasses in the car.  Carrying a purse is a must.

So, I made the executive decision that I am not including accessories in my 33.  For now anyway.

My list of 33:

1.  Dark jeans
2.  Light jeans
3.  Jean shorts
4.  Gray slacks
5.  Black slacks
6.  Long pink skirt
7.  Long pastel skirt
8.  Long black/blue/green skirt
9.  Brown/Blue sleeveless dress
10.  Blue/Green summer maxi dress
11.  Little black dress
12.  Ravenclaw t-shirt
13.  “My husband rocks” t-shirt
14.  “Soccer Mom” bling shirt
15.  “Annie” t-shirt ~ My daughter asked me not to get rid of this one!
16.  Black solid  t-shirt with buttons
17.  Black solid/flowy Loft shirt
18.  Sleeveless Black dressy shirt, tie at neck
19.  Black embroidered tunic
20.  3/4 sleeve floral shirt
21.  Black camisole
22.  Black tank top with floral design around neck
23.  Pink tank
24.  Black camisole
25.  Lime green solid t-shirt
26.  Teal solid t-shirt
27.  Purple solid t-shirt
28.  Brown sweater
29.  Light purple jacket from SanFran.
30.  Black flip flops
31.  Black flats
32.  Tennis shoes
33.  Black pumps

Whew!  I did it.  I may end up having to switch out some of the t-shirts to long sleeved shirts or sweaters.  I did go through my winter box and purged that too, so I have about as many long sleeved shirts/sweaters tucked away as I have short sleeved t’s saved.  It’s still quite warm here in the Houston area, but I’m pretty cold natured, so if we’re hit by cooler weather, I’m prepared.

So, that’s it — my 33 items.  Can I do it?  We shall see!  Next week, I’m planning to help my girls go through their closets.  The goal for them is 40 pieces each.  Wish me luck!

Good luck! I’m not including accessories either (except for scarves and purses), but I’m still thinking in a way to limit them… or not. I don’t know yet. :P

I will be praying for you…..LOL!! My purging was because all of my clothes were falling off when I walked and have not bought any new ones so I guess that is cheating in a way. However, I have never had very many clothes so I am pretty sure I do not have a clothing, accessory, or shoe problem now fabric and crafting supplies…. oh boy! I have actually been getting rid of some of the supplies but know it is very hard for me to let them goooooo!!

I know this is a pretty old post, but I was searching for Project 333 lists for ideas for my own p333 experiment and I just HAD to comment that I love that you have a Ravenclaw t-shirt in your list of necessity items to wear. :)
