Playing Cards

One of the benefits of homeschooling is that my kids don’t have to inhale their breakfast in 5 minutes anymore in a rush to get out the door.  In fact, they have taken to becoming quite leisurely about breakfast.  It usually looks something like this:

(Notice the bread with butter over there NOT on a plate… yeah, we are casual).   The girls have been playing a game called “King’s Corner” which is a solitare/freecell type game, only with multiple players.

This is pretty much what our table looks like at breakfast and lunch.  They seldom eat a meal anymore without getting out the deck of cards.  I think it’s great, because at least they’re getting along (most of the time) and even my youngest understands the game enough to whip up on her older sisters now and then.

Just a glimpse into the day-to-day of our life.  Crazy mal-adjusted homeschoolers.
