Pinterest Semi-FAIL

Pinterest is my new go-to when I’m searching for new recipes to try in the kitchen.  There are so many great recipes and ideas out there, and Pinterest is a great way to organize them!

Recently I came across THIS pin and thought it looked like a yummy idea.  Kevin had had a burger with egg on it before and liked it, so I thought putting the egg IN the burger would be a cool idea.  Of course, I don’t like my eggs over easy, I prefer them cooked all the way through, so I scrambled them before putting them in the center of the hole…

Here is the nice, cool-looking Pinterest Image:

Here was MY version…

Um, so yeah, FAIL.  The eggs did NOT stay put where they were supposed to.

However, once I cleaned up the egg “mess”, there was still some eggs left in the patties, and the hamburgers were actually pretty tasty.  They just weren’t as “pretty” as the Pinterest version.  So all-in-all it wasn’t a complete fail.  Only a semi-fail.

What about you?  Have you tried things from your Pinterest boards and found them a flop, or do all your attempts turn out perfectly?

I made this chicken dish that had dijon mustard in it, and people were claiming it was the absolute best chicken dinner ever. Unfortunately, the “sauce” dried out on top and it was the nastiest thing I had ever tasted. I went back to Allrecipes. Although I did try your homemade ice cream tonight and it was delicious!
