November Quiet Time

Wow!  October seemed to fly by.  I hope you enjoyed our “31 Days of Music”.  If you missed any of the posts, they are all in one spot HERE, so feel free to go back and look over them.  I thought it was a fun theme, and enjoyed writing every day about musical things.

In contrast, I will be stepping back from daily blogging in November.  I may do a “Monday Musings” post or two, but I have timidly decided to take part in “NaNoWriMo” this year.  What is NaNoWriMo, you ask?  It stands for “National Novel Writing Month” and participants are encouraged to write 50,000 words or so toward their novel during the month of November.

Fifty.

Thousand.

Words.

Yikes!

So, I have this novel that’s been in my head for about a year or so now.  I’ve actually outlined chapters on notecards and have named most of my characters.  There are still things I don’t know yet about my novel, but I’m hoping that will just come out as I write, so I figured why not just take the plunge.  Even if I don’t hit the 50,000 word mark (highly likely) I’ll be further along than I am now.

In order to spend more focused writing time on my novel, the blog may feel a bit of neglect.  Since I have precious little writing time during the day as it is, I want to dedicate what I do have to the novel.  Just know that the lull is temporary and I hope you’ll still pop in now and then, because I don’t plan on being gone for long.

What’s the novel about?  Here’s a little hint:

Happy November, Friends!
