My Baby Girl

“Mom, Can you get me some milk?”

I’m thinking a 7 year old should be capable of pouring her own milk, but I say “Sure!” and head to the fridge.

A picture of a 5 year old soccer player with red pigtails stares back at me.

I pour the milk and think of those sweet red curls…

And that infectious grin…

And this.  Always this.

And suddenly I wish she still needed me more often.

My spunky baby girl with the grown-up teeth growing in.

Of course I’ll get you some milk.

And a hug to go with it.

Love, Mom

Cherish ALL those moments. Children grow up way too fast. When you’re in the middle of all the challenges it may not seem like it. But I promise you in a future that will get here before you know it, you will realize they have become grown in what seems like a blink of an eye.

I think I’ve told you before, but I remember telling both my oldest girls on their wedding days that in my mind I’d swear they were just born yesterday.

    Love you my friend!
