Monday Musings

Feeling Optimistic.  My life has been a series of hills and valleys when it comes to my weight and healthy choices. Rebooting again today.  I’m up to my eyeballs in the amount of water currently ingested.  Here’s to healthy!

Reading Bel Canto by Ann Patchett. I’ve heard good things about this one, but it’s been a bit of a slow-starter for me.  I began reading it a few days ago and I’m still only a few chapters in.

Listening to What Alice Forgot by Liane Moriarty.  I still don’t listen to many audio books.  I love listening to the Australian accent of the narrator for Moriarty’s books, though, and the story is certainly holding my interest.  I’ve been tuning in during every second of my car time.

Loving watching my girls grow up before my eyes.  It is both awesome and scary watching them come into their own.  They are fun to be around (most of the time) and I hope and pray that they make it through to adulthood each with a strong relationship with the Lord and with each other.

Hating all. the. drama.  I am not a fan. Why does it seem to follow me?  Maybe it’s me?  Gasp.

Praying continually for a sweet friend of mine whose mother died unexpectedly last week.  I am heartbroken for her.

Eating a roast for dinner that cooked all day in the Crock Pot.  Love the crock pot convenience!  The roast was pretty yummy as well.  No leftovers!

Anticipating getting the songs soon for our next Praise & Harmony recording.  Singing with this group is always one of the highlights of my year.
