Monday Musings

The Trains & Tutus blog is 4 years old this month!  Wow!

So, yes, the quiet November turned into a quiet two months of Nov/Dec.  Unfortunately, I did not get my 50,000 words written toward my novel.  But I did START my novel, so I suppose I’m better off than when I started, no?

December was full of good things.  Family.  Friends.  Christmas Decorations.  Holiday Baking.  It’s one of my favorite times of year.

I hosted our family Christmas for the first time ever.  It was lovely.  We ate Mexican food & it was delicious.

Hubby is working on a home improvement project consisting of ripping out things and making a mess of the girls’ bathroom before “fixing” it.  Hoping all goes well.  If it does, we’ll regain OUR bathroom back, which they’ve been showering in for the past year, so that’s a huge perk.

I’ve been “cleaning up” my computer.  I just deleted 60,000+ emails from my gmail archives.  For real.  But then they keep showing back up in the archives.  It’s all very frustrating.

My eldest turned 14 yesterday.  Fourteen.  Sigh.

I read 58 books in 2014 (well, so far), which was about 5 less than last year, but I pretty much did no reading in November, so I averaged about the same as 2013.  I think my goal for 2015 will be 60 books so I can stretch a little.

I’m getting over a post-Christmas cold.  Bah humbug to sore throats & drippy noses!

Have a wonderful remainder of the week, friends!  See you in 2015!
