Monday Musings

I’ve already been to the dentist with one of my girls this morning, started laundry, and made our Christmas plans, so I feel like it’s been a pretty productive morning so far.  I actually have quite a lot to do today.  My list is growing as I keep remembering things I need to add to it, so I’ll have to be brief.

As I sat down to take a few minutes to blog, Ginny hopped up in my lap.  She’s been doing that more and more and I’m a sucker and I love it.  It’s becoming part of her routine.

I have two girls that have been told they need braces… guess I know where our money will be going soon.

I tried to have a drama Christmas party for my oldest but she proclaimed me “lame”.  So, we’ll be hosting a party for Lila’s “Into the Woods” cast next weekend and it will be fun.  Bah humbug to the Junior!

It’s been coooold!  I don’t like it.  There’s at least some sun shining today, so I’m a little better.  I also bought myself some sunflowers to cheer up the kitchen.  It’s the little things.

My eldest had a “Madrigal” performance this past weekend.  It’s like a dinner/choir concert where all the students are dressed in Renaissance garb. Here she is with a few of her friends.  Aren’t the costumes fun?  We had a great time.

When we moved, we made our youngest give up her full-sized bed for our guest room and promised her that we’d get her a new bed when we sold our house.  Yesterday we finally made good on our promise and went and picked out a new bed and a dresser/mirror/desk to match.  She is SO excited and can’t wait for it to be delivered later this week.

Pretty much all my middle daughter asked for for Christmas was nail polish related things.  She’s really into polishing nails and nail art right now.  I don’t have the patience for it.  If I ever have polish on my fingernails it chips pretty immediately, so I usually just don’t bother.

This week for us is full of Christmas concerts for both band and choir.  I love all the Christmas-y things and plan to soak it all up.  Have a wonderful week, friends!
