I posted this on Facebook, because I’m a braggy mom, but, competing against students from 15 Middle Schools in the district, my middle daughter placed 9th chair clarinet in the top (Honor) band! She started the year discouraged because band was “harder” than it was at home, but she has worked super hard and grown by leaps and bounds. I am so proud of how much she has worked this year and so excited to see her feel like her hard work has paid off. This coming weekend is Region auditions. Send her some good vibes!
Also this week, my eldest secured a role in her new high school’s musical production scheduled for this January. The musical is Bye Bye Birdie. We’re all looking forward to getting involved. It should be a great show.
My mother-in-law is here for a visit. She loves to quilt and we’re going to see how many of the area fabric stores we can hit this week.
I have finally found the secret to staying caught up on laundry. I hope all you moms will take two minutes to watch what I hope is an encouraging message:
I’m probably way late to the party, but I’ve been making my own paper planner for the past several years, and I just discovered planner stickers. It’s a whole thing! Like, there’s a whole aisle at Hobby Lobby devoted to planner stickers and don’t even get me started on the Etsy stores! My youngest has needed some encouragement lately in the organization department. We sat down with her planner and added some planner stickers to it and viola! Instant interest in being organized. Let’s hope it actually helps!
I’ve been meal planning like a boss. Have you checked out my 31 Days of Meal Planning?
Today is the 6th Anniversary of the day I became an aunt. Wishing my sweet nephew a very Happy Birthday!
Gotta run. Volleyball game for #3 this afternoon followed by a choir concert for #1. No rest for the weary! Have a great week!
