Mom Spotlight: Judy

Happy Mothers’ Day week!  This week we are featuring some of our favorite moms.  I first met Judy when I had my photography studio.  She would bring her (adorable) children in to the studio pretty regularly.  I have been so happy that recently, Judy has rejoined my life through theatre, and our girls have become friends!

How many children do you have and what are their ages?

3: 13 yr old girl, 11 yr old boy, 7 yr old girl

How did you come up with the names of your children?

Each were named in honor/memory  of someone in our families. Each goes by a nickname to give them their own identity.

What is a book that you like to give as a gift?

When friends lose a pet, I send them “The 10 good things about Barney” to help them grieve.

What is your favorite “go-to” recipe?

Chicken breast in a crock-pot with balsamic vinaigrette.

What is a quality you admire in your own mother?

Perseverance. She hasn’t always been dealt a fair hand in life but she has risen above.

What one product would you give a new mom?

A boppy. Whether they choose to breastfeed or formula feed, it makes it so much easier to “hold” the baby.

What advice would you give to a mom of a Kindergartner?

Listen when they tell you about their day ❤

If you could choose a gift to receive for Mothers’ Day, what would it be?

Family time doing nothing.

List 5 of your favorite things.

I love music, reading, sharing those things and movies with my kids, taking/looking at pictures, attending concerts.

Share a favorite parenting memory.

Riding in the car with my kids and all 4 of us belting out every word to Hamilton :)

Thank you Judy, for sharing!
