Locks of Love

Those of you who are friends of mine on Facebook have already seen this picture, but I wanted to go ahead and share it anyway, because I’m slightly proud of my sweet girls.  Last week they both, for the second time each, donated their hair to Locks of Love, a non-profit organization built to donate hair for wigs for children who for medical reasons cannot grow their own hair.  To donate, you must have at least 10 inches of hair to send.  Other guidelines can be found HERE.  As sad as I may be to see those precious red and golden locks, I must admit, it does make me one proud momma that my girls have such caring hearts and attitudes.

Once you have your hair, you fill out a form, and mail it off.  Here are the girls ready to mail their package:
