iPad App Review ~ The Monster at the End of this Book

The Monster at the End of this Book was one of my favorite books as a child.  I can still hear the inflection in my mother’s voice as she read it to me.

Of course, since it was a favorite of mine, I have read it countless times to my own children, and now it is a favorite of theirs.  So when I saw the iPad app for the story, I decided to give it a try.  After all, it was only 99 cents.

The kids were very excited when they discovered a new “Grover” App on the iPad.  They immediately sat down together to “play” the story.

It’s in interactive version of the beloved story.  Using Grover’s voice, whose inflections were pretty close to my mother’s, so it met my approval.  I loved that my kids were quoting the book as they went along.

And they read it again…

And again…

So, I would definitely give the app a positive review!

Of course, after this, all the Grover books had to come downstairs, and were promptly read over lunch.

Glad to know that somethings will never be replaced with technology…

I had that book too. I’d forgotten it until you just wrote about it. Thank you for triggering such a great memory.
