Papa Tutu is a big fan of kettle potato chips, so I decided to try my hand at making my own. Here’s how it’s done.
First, pour some vegetable oil into a pan set to medium-high heat. I added some rosemary and garlic to infuse the oil.
Using a vegetable peeler, slice the potatoes as thin as possible.
Put the potato pieces in a bowl of water to keep them from browning. As you are ready to do the batches, lay some out and pat the potatoes dry.
Place a layer of potato slices in your hot oil.
Cook them for several minutes. They will begin to turn a golden brown.
Lay them on a paper towel to drain, and top with sea salt.
Enjoy! They won’t last long!
