Grandma’s Lasagna (Easy!!)

The best thing about Grandma’s lasagna, other than the obvious yumminess, is that you don’t have to cook the noodles before putting the lasagna together!  So, it gives the appearance of something you labored over, when really, you don’t have to work all that hard.

1 carton (8 oz) lasagna noodles (10 noodles)
1 lb. ground beef
1 jar (32 oz) thick spicy spaghetti sauce
1/2 cup water
1 tsp. salt
1 lb. cottage cheese (or substitute ricotta)
3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup parmesan cheese

First brown & drain your meat. The recipe calls for 1 lb. of ground beef, but I like to use 2.   Add the spaghetti sauce, water, and salt.  Boil several minutes.

In a 9×13 pan, layer 1/3 sauce, 1/2 uncooked noodles, 1/2 cup cottage cheese, and 1/3 mozzarella.  Repeat layers, ending with sauce, mozzarella and parmesan.

Cover with foil, bake for 55 minutes at 350 degrees.

Let stand 10 minutes before serving.

Is your mouth watering yet?  It is oh-so-yummy!!
