Fruit Crunch

When I was growing up, this was my mom’s go-to dessert anytime my dad had to take something to work for a pot-luck. I think she would have preferred to make something else at times, but my dad always asked for this dish.  It’s both easy and tasty — what’s not to love?

Ingredients:

1 can fruit pie filling (my favorite is spiced apple, but cherry runs a close second)
1 box white cake mix
1 stick butter

In a 9×9 baking dish, spread the pie filling.

crunch3Bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes.

Crunch4This is so yummy.  It goes well with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top too… if you like that sort of thing.

Which I am.
