This is my oldest daughter’s absolute FAVORITE sweet treat. We discovered them a few years ago, and they have made it into our holiday baking repertoire. Who doesn’t love the taste of cookie dough? Without raw eggs to worry about and covered in chocolate, these bon bons are a winner!
Cookie Dough Bon Bons
1/2 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 can sweetened condensed milk
2 1/4 cups flour
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 cup to 1 cup mini chocolate chips
16 oz. Hershey Bar
1/3 slab paraffin
Cream the butter and sugar in a mixing bowl at a medium-high speed until light and fluffy. Beat in the flour, milk & vanilla until smooth. Fold in chocolate chips. I only use 1/2 cup, but you could use more, if you wanted more chocolate chips per bite. Cover the dough with plastic wrap and put them in the refrigerator to harden enough to roll into balls.
Roll the cooled cookie dough mixture into small balls, about 1″ in diameter Place on a baking sheet lined with wax paper. Freeze until hard enough for dipping, about an hour or so.
Melt your chocolate and paraffin in a double boiler until nice and smooth. Dip each cookie dough ball into the chocolate to coat, then let cool on a surface lined with wax paper. Once all the bon bons have been dipped in chocolate and the chocolate has set, store them in an air tight container in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to go sit around and eat bon bons all day…
