2013 – 31 Days of Actually Cooking Recipes I’ve Pinned31Days2013


Last October, I joined the Nester in writing for 31 days on one topic.  The topic I chose was Proverbs, and I loved delving into the Word each day and sharing a little something I’d gleaned with you.  When trying to come up with something for this year’s 31 day challenge however, I went with something a little less serious.

Again, I wanted my topic to be something I found interesting, but with enough meat that I could write about it for 31 days and not run out of material. Perhaps somewhat inspired by the food memoirs I’ve been reading, I tossed around the idea of a food challenge.  Then it hit me.  I have a whole Pinterest board full of recipes I’ve pinned but never tried.  Don’t get me wrong, there are some there I have tried, and that have even become a part of my normal kitchen repertoire, but there are many others that have just disappeared into the pin board abyss.

So, for the next 31 days, my challenge to myself is to try something new every day.  I’m going to spend 31 days actually cooking recipes for the first time that I’ve pinned but never made.  I’m going to blog the good, the bad, and the ugly.  If it’s a flop, I’ll blog anyway.  If it’s the best dish in the world, I will encourage you to go to your kitchen right now and make it yourself!  Won’t you join me on the journey?  For ease of blog-hopping, I’m going to post the links to each of the 31 posts here on this page.
